DIY Whitening Toothpaste | SunKissAlba

Hi Sunshines!

Here is a simple yet very effective way to whiten and clean your teeth daily, without the usual unnecessary toxic/chemical ingredients found in many store bought toothpaste. These are simple ingredients you can fully understand and use safely daily without breaking your wallet. This toothpaste has a minty fresh feeling due to the peppermint essential oil, stain removing power due to baking soda, and a gentle cleanse to lift toxins and tooth buildup with coconut oil. All of these ingredients combined make the best Whitening Toothpaste without harmful ingredients.

I always make this same amount (1 cup) and it last about 1 month or so. I’ve been using it daily for the past 4-5 months now!

I do not share this toothpaste with anyone else in my household. This is my own personal jar but If my husband were interested in using this toothpaste then I’d make a separate jar just for him 🙂

I store it in my medicine cabinet and I make a small 1/2 cup batch in a smaller storage jar for traveling. This is such a convenient and healthy way to clean your teeth daily without affecting your pocket or your health.

TOOTH SENSITIVITY? Years ago before knowing anything about health I use to add baking soda to my “store bought” toothpaste everyday and within 2 weeks I began to experience tooth sensitivity on my front teeth. If you have a low calcium level or are aware that you’re not well nourished, and you want to start using a healthier toothpaste like this one that includes baking soda… please do, just start off slowly since you are a beginner. I started off with using this once every 2 days because I knew I use to have teeth sensitivity and then after 2 weeks of use, I began to use it every day and I have not experienced any sensitivity at all 🙂

Here are other toothpaste brands I have in my home:

  1. Hi Alba!
    Thanks for sharing this!
I made it at home and i have a couple of questions:
This paste doesn’t produce foam like regular toothpaste, so i found myself reaching for the jar to re apply it on my toothbrush several times.. is it normal for this paste? should i just get used to no foam and brush with a regular amount?
Also, it has a really strong baking soda taste, which is not so nice.. should i add more coconut oil? mint oil?
    Thanks!!

    1. The foams you get from regular toothpaste honestly doesn’t help w/ anything. I found an article by Dr. Mark B. that’s very informative ..he talks about what brushing your teeth w/ a homemade toothpaste actually does, explains the ingredients & more. Maybe you could add some of the other ingredients he mention as best ingredients to use in homemade-toothpaste for the strong taste of baking soda. Hope this helps!

  3. It distributes heat evenly and faster all around the food item,
ensuring a thorough and perfect cooking result.
Although the regular microwave oven addresses the issues of quicker cooking period, reheating foods, and defrosting frozen items, there are other
facets which the microwave oven may not be able to serve on its own. Among all
the household electrical appliances, refrigerators, clothes washers,
and dryers use the most energy. A food processor is a most important kitchen appliance
which is used by everyone in the kitchen.
Having a freezer when no one really uses it is a waste of both
    money and space.

  4. The idea was great, but don’t know when i tried it with Stevia it had slightly bad taste, and without it was just like my normal toothpaste. Any reason for this?

  5. I used to make my own whitening teeth recipe because of the stains in the upper row. I tried many times to get rid of those discolorations but swear, nothing worked. I don’t know what to do until one time that my classmate in Calculus suggested to consult a cosmetic dentist in Beverly Hills. I was hesitant at first because it might be costly for a student like me. Good thing my mom has dental insurance, the dentist wipe off those yellow stain away. I’m happy with the result. Until now I’m thankful for the treatment.

If it helps decide on a specific product I am Dominican and have a dark complexion Please help me thank you.

  8. I think I’ve heard about that whitening teeth pen before. I don’t need to bother using it though because I am satisfied with my ivory teeth – a result of my treatment at Beverly Hills in Dr. David S. Frey’s clinic.

  9. I think some home remedies might work, but whitening kits are usually affordable and very efficient, especially Stella white brand strips which is also quite safe to use 🙂

    1. Dont eat grains what so ever (no bread / no wheat / no grains) No sugar of any kind except stevia, and no artificial juices. Just juice veggies and only use fruit for morning Juicings. Do this for 3 days and feel amazing! 100% Organic Ingredients are best. Drink water and lemon water as much as you like. but make sure you have a veggie juice for breakfast lunch and dinner.
